SCRR Fall Race Training

  • Couch to 5k Training – UCAN2 program

    Who is this program for?

  • Anyone recovering from an injury that has a goal of safely returning to running
  • Anyone that has taken a break from running and is looking for a supportive group with the goal of setting good habits
  • Anyone new to running with the goal of learning running basics and completing a 5k

  • Program highlights:

    This 10 week program will get you from the couch to the start of our selected 5k race.  Each week will start with a 10 minute seminar and question session so that you can learn the basics of running and feel confident in your training.  After the race, we invite you back to run with our regular training groups so that you can continue your training with SCRR.

10k Training Guide

  • Who is this program for?

  • Participants of our UCAN2 5k training program that are looking to increase their distance
  • Anyone that has been running on occasion but is interested in a new challenge
  • Anyone that has taken a break from running and is looking for a supportive group with the goal of setting good habits

  • Program Highlights:

    This 8 week program will help you improve your endurance so that you can complete our selected 10k race. You should be used to running 2-3 times a week and capable of running 3 miles comfortably to start this training program.

    What's included:

  • Week by week training plan
  • Weekly emails with updates and tips
  • Dynamic warm-up routine
  • Form clinic
  • Supported training runs
  • Access to coaches
  • Saturday meetings on weeks 1, 4 and 7 to touch base on your training and answer your questions
  • Weekend Bridge to 10k training runs
  • For training runs, they will run with the pace groups and we will tell them how to get the extra mileage. Training Guide

  • Participants of our Bridge to 10k training program that are looking to increase their distance
  • Anyone that has been running on occasion but is interested in a new challenge
  • Anyone that has taken a break from running and is looking for a supportive group with the goal of setting good habits

    10 Mile Program

    Program highlights:

    This 10 week program will help you improve your endurance so that you can complete the EQT 10 Miler race. You should be used to running 2-3 times a week and capable of running 3 miles comfortably to start this training program.  This can be started with or without completing the Bridge to 10k program.

  • Weekly emails with updates and tips
  • Dynamic warm-up routine
  • Form clinic
  • Supported training runs
  • Access to coaches
  • Saturday meetings on weeks 1, 5 and 9 to touch base on your training and answer your questions
  • Weekend Bridge to 10 miler training runs
  • For training runs, they will run with the pace groups and we will tell them how to get the extra mileage.

When does my membership begin?

The first day of your membership begins when payment has been received, and ends one year later. You will receive a confirmation email once your activation occurs.

When does SCRR meet?

Currently SCRR meets two times per week; Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings. Please view our calendar of events for specific dates, times, locations, and details.
